Terre Haute Auto Repair

I have never had these guys repair any of my vehicles but 8 years ago my Mazda 626 broke down across the street from them and I was quoted over $500 to replace a serpentine belt. Over priced grease monkey charged me $180 including a needed oil change and topped off my brake fluid and anti freeze. Read the replies from the owner, he is hostile and just sound like a crooked man, which is what quite a few people say. I don't know how he gets negative reviews removed. I always feel disdain for this place every time I drive by it!!!

A great program

Great service!!

My Son is using one of my cars and living with his girlfriend in Terre Haute who is a student. The car just suddenly wouldn't start and considering I'm in Greenwood I really couldn't offer much help. Not knowing of any Auto mechanics I took a chance with Garvin and Lidster. They arranged a tow within the hour and I couldn't be happier with the courtesy, professionalism and most of all the fairness of the final bill. It's nice to know that we have found an honest and trustworthy Auto Shop near him while he's in Terre Haute. Thanks Garvin and Lidster for all your help. Chris

Best mechanics

I had a wheel bearing replaced. The service was good and the workers were friendly. However, after I got the receipt I looked up the part number listed. It was a Napa part and the Napa website listed it for $172. I was charged $335 for the part plus $112 for 1.4 hours of labor. I would expect the price for the part to be a little more expensive, but more than twice the listed price seems very excessive. Labor costs were $80 an hour, which seems reasonable, but I wouldn’t go back because of the exorbitant markup.

I'm on a fixed income. I took my car there and not only did they get me in quickly, I didnt have to leave the car. They fixed the problem and the price was great. Very affordable. I will continue to patronize their business, if needed. Thank you.
