Was fortunate enough to have problems and this great shop was the closest to me. Out of town and had issues with my truck. The team was friendly and able to get me in, repaired and back on the road much quicker than I expected. Very friendly and helpful staff. I had written a 1 star review for a service I was not happy with. I received a phone call from Jacob who honestly wanted to hear my issue. Not only did he hear me he listened to me. After speaking to him I feel the review I posted earlier should be changed to a 5 star rating for customer service. This shop does care and I am grateful for the conversation.

First off, I want to let it known that Travis is a very kind and nice person. Now with that being said I was not pleased at all with the service. I brought in my car to have the rear axle bearings replaced. I received a call letting me know it was much worse than thought. The bearings had come loose and destroyed the axle housing thus a new rear end was needed. I was able to get a used one to get installed and the labor quote went from $800.00 to 1200.00 in the matter of a hour of time. I then declined the repair and informed them I would be picking up the car. I arrived at the station and was charged $158.72 for a diagnostic service. I was so mad that I paid the fee to get out of the shop. I guess the days of the mechanic telling you what is wrong before they fix it now comes with a service charge. I just don't get it. If you are going to charge a customer for anything you need to let the customer know. And then charge for a service that does nothing is even worse. I'm going to start charging to come look at properties that need security cameras before the install. Oh wait I won't because that is wrong to ask the customer in this strained economy to take on more of the load. Now I get why they offer financing for car repairs that shouldn't cost that much in the first place. NOT HAPPY!!!

4/25/25 Started out a bad day..... on my way to work at 1am - ran over something that sounded like I was going to have a flat. After inspection I left it by Show Me's & Lenex Steel.... called a dear friend (Janice Wright) to ask for a ride (thank you so much Janice). Called Garvin & Lidster and explained everything I knew to the Manager David. He advised me it would be $30, to call him when I get off work & he would meet me there with a compressor-if it holds air I could drive to their Garage. Little did I know he walked (about 4 or 5 blocks) in the rain. To make a long story short - he ended up putting on the donut tire on because the tire would not hold air (he was soaked). His concern was my tire would be ruined, and he did not want it any worse than it was. This could have gone so many different ways.... to telling me I needed a new tire - to paying extra for all he did. When I paid, I asked how much - he said $30. Tried to tip him - he would have no part of it. Thank you soooooo much David (Garvin & Lidster). I recommend checking them out for your next auto maintenance need!!!

I was able to get new wiper blades immediately for a good price. Glad they were on sale. Always so friendly, and helpful.
