I was impressed with the detailed information given via text about the diagnosis of my check engine light. I also had the trans fluid and engine oil both changed. I got the diagnostic text around 12:30 and at 5 I still hadn't heard the status so I called. I was told that the tech was out for a test drive and should be back shortly. Once I arrived, my vehicle was still on the rack and had never left the shop. Basically, I was totally lied to. They had to keep the vehicle to fix an issue that the tech created. This was my first time dealing with Garvin and Lidster and I probably won't be going back. Don't lie to me! Response to owner: So you normally keep a vehicle over night to check the fluid level? I was told the tech dropped a piece into the tranny while filling. I will call this two lies. Jess Adam's is rolling over in his grave. He left Woolco Automotive because of crap like this. Yes I knew him and Bea.
Walter, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad you appreciated the detailed diagnostic information we provided regarding your check engine light. We do, however, want to clarify a few points. After reviewing the phone call, we confirmed that you were advised the technician still needed to verify the transmission fluid level and complete a test drive before your vehicle would be finished. When you arrived, the test drive had already been completed and the technician was in the process of verifying the transmission fluid level, which is why the vehicle was still on the lift. At no point were you intentionally misled or lied to about the status of your vehicle. The additional time was required to ensure the transmission fluid level was properly verified after the service, which is part of completing the job correctly. We understand the timing was frustrating, and we’re sorry the communication didn’t match your expectations. We appreciate your feedback and will continue working to improve our communication throughout the repair process.
